Service terms
Terms of use
Understand temporary addresses, access sharing, restoration and acceptable use before relying on the service.
Version 5.0.1 · Updated 9 October 2026
1. Service and agreement
These terms govern the redesigned Temp Mail v5 service provided by Hoang Dai. By using the service, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, stop using it. Our Privacy policy separately explains data processing and does not replace consent where consent is required.
You must be legally able to accept these terms, meet the applicable minimum age and obtain a parent or guardian's permission where required. The service is not intended for children under 13.
2. Temporary, receive-only mail
The app receives mail; it does not send email. Addresses, domains and messages may stop working or be removed. We do not guarantee delivery, continued availability, exclusive ownership of an address, or suitability for a third-party service.
Do not use temporary addresses for banking, sensitive documents, critical accounts, emergencies or long-term account recovery. Keep a separate reliable contact method for anything important. A temporary address may be accessible outside your current installation.
3. Expiry, renewal and rewarded restoration
On the free plan, the app displays an activation period of 48 hours. You can request renewal of an active supported address. When it expires, the app offers a restoration screen explaining a rewarded advertisement in exchange for a further 48-hour activation. There is no fixed limit on how many restorations you may request, but each request depends on service and ad availability.
The first newly created address normally does not show an interstitial ad. Later successful creations may show one; lack of an available interstitial does not prevent creation. Restoration is different: you choose whether to watch the offered rewarded ad. Dismissing it before an earned reward leaves the address expired, and when no rewarded ad is available restoration may be unavailable. You may leave the restore screen, use other available addresses or access previously cached messages.
An earned restoration credit is saved on this installation for the relevant address. If the subsequent activation request fails, retry with that saved credit instead of earning it again. Deleting local data or losing the device may remove this credit. Contact support if you complete an ad but cannot obtain the offered restoration. You do not need to click an advertisement, install an advertised app or make a purchase to receive the reward offered by Temp Mail.
Activation is not permanent ownership or a backup service. Renewal/restoration does not extend the retention of every existing server message and cannot recover messages already deleted.
4. Optional Premium subscriptions
Starting with version 5.0.1, Temp Mail offers monthly and yearly auto-renewable Premium subscriptions through Apple's in-app purchase system. While your verified Premium entitlement is active, the app does not display ads and keeps all your existing and newly created supported email addresses active without manual renewal. Premium is not a lifetime purchase and does not restore unsupported legacy providers.
The price, currency and billing period are displayed in the app and confirmed in Apple's purchase sheet before you agree to pay. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel before the next renewal. Manage or cancel it in iOS Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions, or use Manage subscription from the Premium screen. Apple's cancellation instructions explain the available controls.
After you cancel automatic renewal, benefits remain available until the paid period ends. When Premium expires, normal address-expiry and advertising rules apply again; an address whose original activation period has elapsed may require restoration. Premium changes address activation in this app, not server message retention, exclusive address ownership or the availability of a domain. It cannot recover mail already deleted by the server.
Use Restore purchases on the Premium screen with the Apple Account used for the purchase to request access to an eligible active subscription. Verification and restoration may require an internet connection. Removing the app, an inbox or local data does not cancel your Apple subscription. Refund requests for Apple purchases can be made through Apple and are handled under Apple's process and applicable consumer rights.
5. Protect account access
Face ID, Touch ID and device-passcode locks protect the saved mailbox within this installation only. They are not server-side passwords. Protect your device and share access information only with people you trust.
Email QR shares an address; Account QR shares the address plus its access identifier. Anyone receiving an account code/link may be able to add and read that mailbox elsewhere. Account-link encoding is not cryptographic protection. Do not publish, sell or trade account access or restoration rewards; do not assume that removing the account locally revokes copies held by others.
6. Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully and respect the rules of services where you use an address. Do not use it for fraud, phishing, impersonation, harassment, unlawful content, unauthorized mailbox access, malicious code, circumvention of security controls, automated abuse or activity that disrupts the service. Do not manipulate ad impressions, clicks or rewards.
We may limit or suspend abusive activity, remove unlawful content or unavailable domains, and respond to valid legal requests. Restrictions should not be interpreted as a guarantee that all incoming messages have been screened.
7. Content, external services and exports
Incoming messages are supplied by third parties. Treat their links, images and claims with caution. HTML filtering reduces certain active-content risks but does not guarantee that a message is safe, authentic or rendered perfectly. External images can disclose message-opening activity; manage them in Settings.
You remain responsible for content you share or export and for respecting others' rights. You grant only the permissions reasonably needed to process content for the service you request. Exported files, clipboard contents, external sites, advertisements and third-party mail services are subject to the controls and terms of their respective providers.
8. Availability and responsibility
We work to maintain the service but cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free operation, permanent storage or recovery. Keep independent copies of anything you are entitled to retain. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without additional warranties beyond those required by law.
Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any limitation of responsibility applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
9. Leaving, changes and contact
You can stop using the app and remove local inboxes or cached bodies. Local removal is not a server deletion request; see Privacy choices & deletion. These terms do not select a foreign court or waive rights available to you under mandatory local law.
We may update the service and these terms. Material changes will be identified on this page and additional notice provided where required. For support, abuse reports or questions, contact temp-mail@1timetech.com.
