Privacy choices & deletion
What you can change in the app, what local deletion removes, and how to request help.
Version 5.0.1 · Updated 9 October 2026
Control external images
Open Settings and turn automatic image loading off if you do not want new external email images requested automatically. It is enabled by default on a new installation. You can then choose Load images for an individual message. Turning it off cannot undo requests already sent; previously downloaded session images may still be displayed.
Choose a reader and lock an inbox
Settings lets you select Controlled or WebView as the default display. Both filter active content; neither is a guarantee against malicious messages. Use the lock action on each mailbox to enable or disable local authentication. iOS Settings controls the app's camera and Face ID permission. Mailbox locks are local, not server ownership controls.
Delete local data
- Clear private cache: In Settings, choose Clear private cache and confirm. This removes downloaded message-body cache files and their encryption key while retaining mailbox and message metadata.
- Remove an inbox: Use the remove/delete action for the saved account and confirm. This removes that inbox's local records and associated cached bodies from this installation.
- Stop using the app: Removing the app deletes its ordinary local app container. iOS backups, system clipboard, Keychain items and files already exported elsewhere may have different lifecycles; do not treat uninstalling as proof that every copy was erased.
These actions do not send a server-side deletion request, revoke an account QR already shared, or delete copies from recipients and other apps. There is no cloud login account to delete in v5. A developer-only reset button is not a production user control.
Advertising and diagnostics
Respond to applicable privacy messages presented by Google UMP. The app asks for Apple's ATT permission only after the applicable UMP flow. IDFA access and personalized advertising are enabled only when all required consent is granted; otherwise ad requests remain non-personalized and the app remains usable. You can review or revoke ATT permission in iOS Settings. When UMP requires it, Settings shows Privacy options to reopen the Google consent form and change your choices. The app does not provide a switch to disable Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics.
You can contact us to exercise applicable consent, objection or deletion rights. Google My Ad Center offers additional Google-account advertising controls, but does not replace app-specific UMP choices or guarantee that all in-app advertising data stops being processed.
Manage Premium and purchase records
In Temp Mail, open Settings > Temp Mail Premium to restore purchases or open Apple's subscription management. You can also manage or cancel in iOS Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. Deleting the app or clearing local data does not cancel a subscription. Premium removes ads but does not turn off analytics, crash diagnostics or purchase verification.
For access or deletion requests involving purchase records processed on our behalf through Qonversion, contact support. Apple manages its own payment and transaction records. Some records may need to be retained for verification, refunds, accounting or legal obligations. See the Privacy policy for processing details and the Terms for subscription conditions.
Request access, correction or deletion
Email temp-mail@1timetech.com with the subject “Temp Mail privacy request”. State the request, the app version and the data category involved. If a particular inbox is involved, give its address only if necessary. We may ask for proportionate verification before acting.
Do not send a device passcode, OTP, full message body or account QR/access link in your initial request. Redact screenshots. Because the app has no registered identity, we may not be able to link all provider records to you or verify exclusive ownership of a temporary address.
We will assess requests under applicable law, explain relevant exceptions and respond within applicable time limits. Data already removed cannot be recovered. You may also contact your local data protection authority where applicable.
